She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Gripe and Thelma Gripe (Bell); her husband Art; her sister Erna Foster; and her grandson Mathew Logan T. Hankins.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Rice (Lynda) of Miami, OK, Ruth Rice of Miami and Trudy Hankins (Patrick) of Waxahachie, TX; and her sisters, Mary Schwartz, Audrey Palmer, Bernice Williams, Brenda Humble and Menno Gripe. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
