Daniel Rogers Baker Obituary
Daniel "Danny" Rogers Baker of Bernice, OK passed from this life Friday, July 29, 2022 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 74.
Danny was born November 15, 1947 in Tulsa, OK to Clifford and Gladys (Petty) Baker. He had lived in Bernice since 1993, moving from Miami, OK. He served in the United States Navy.
Danny owned and operated B and B Auto Supply in Miami, Baker Color Warehouse in Joplin, MO, Baker Golf Carts in Grove, OK and B & B Distribution Inc. in Miami.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Russell Baker and a grandson, Sean Ventura.
Danny is survived by his wife, Iris Baker of the home, 2 daughters, Renea Baker Parks and husband Ike of Canton, GA and Diane Baker-Dotson of Broken Arrow, OK, 5 grandchildren, Daniel Isaac Baker, Eric "Isaiah" Dotson, Janna Valensuela, Kayla Hanks and Emily Wardle and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Mickey Rogers will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Afton, OK. Daniel Isaac Baker, Eric Baker, Luke Treece, Adam Treece, John Estes, Rusty Fowlkes and Joe Treece will serve aspPallbearers. Doug Nutting, Kevin Williams, Colby Allen and Aaron Robinson will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
