He was predeceased by: his parents, Leighton "Bud" Sommer and Norma Sommer (Judas); and his brother Garlan Sommer (Ginger Sommer). He is survived by: his significant other Ginger Slater; his brother Gary Sommer (Brenda) of Miami; his daughters, Shelly Sommer of Joplin and Shawn Sommer (Jim Lynch) of Jay; and his grandchildren, Shane Sommer, Willy Turner and Jackson Lynch.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service (5 B St NW, Miami, OK 74354). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
