He is survived by: his brother Charles; his son Mike Eugene Nelson (Robin) of Newport; his sister Lois Pitts of Jay; his sister-in-law Helen Nelson of Spring Hill; his grandchildren, Sarah Orcutt (Evan) and Allison Henderson (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Romie, Asher of Rockwall and Nick Nelson; and also, Maylee of Miami and Maybell of Alcoa, Tennessee..
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church (2424 N Main St, Miami, OK 74354). A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
