She is survived by: her son Terry Gilbert; her siblings, Velta Asbell of Miami, OK, Loretta Jones of Broken Arrow, OK, Kenneth Hopkins of Coweta, OK, Lloyd Hopkins of Goodman, MO and Richard Hopkins of Coker, AL; her children-in-law, Stanley Boyer of Miami and Tammy Hahn (Jeff) of Clayton, OK; her grandchildren, Shelby Grant (Anthony) of Tahlequah, OK, Austin Gilbert (Sarah) of Bentonville, AR, Alayna Alsip (Matthew), Dewayne Boyer and Tiffany Boyer; and her aunt Mariellen Brodrick of Ozark, MO. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of great grandchildren and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service (5 B St NW, Miami, OK 74354). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
