He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Max and Stella Louise Herrel (Parish). He is survived by: his children, Max Herrel, Jr. of Miami, OK, Bobby Herrel of McKinney, TX and Kandi Smith (Tracy) of Neosho, MO. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Miami (1432 B St NW, Miami, OK 74354). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the N. E. O. Memorial Veterans Cemetery (S 557 Rd, Miami, OK 74354).
