She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Walls and Martha Rucker Reese; her siblings, Dorothy Rucker Reid, Marshall Gillespie Rucker, Cassie Howie, James Walls, Oscar Walls (Tut) and Marion Walls (Billy Shivers); and her son Dr. Rodney Shivers.
She is survived by: her daughter Inga Shivers; her daughter-in-law Lathonya Shivers; her grandsons, Nicholas and Vincent Shivers; her nephews, Clayton and Marcus Reid; her niece Deborah Reid; and her goddaughter Patricia Walton.
