She was predeceased by: her parents, Irlene Lee and W. P. Lee; and her sister Lori Doran. She is survived by: her husband James Dawson; her children, Justin Dawson (Stacey), Hailey King (Forrest) and Micah Dawson (Courtney); her grandchildren, Logan Dawson, Mackenzie Dawson, Kamdyn Dawson, Amelia King, Carter Dawson and Penelope Dawson; and her siblings, Phil Lee (Debbie), Earl Lee (Darlene), Judy Lee Oliva (Bruce) and Kristy Long (Kent). She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Oklahoma Foreign Language Teachers Association (OFLTA) in Desa's memory.
