He was predeceased by: his father Benito M. Solis; and his siblings, Juan J. Solis and Leticia "Lety" Solis. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Beth"; his mother San Juana Solis; his daughters, Mary Nawotka (Rick Dunkerley), Ann "Annie" Lynch (James "Jamie") and Sarah "Alex" Nawotka; his grandchildren, Lynch (Dominic), Elias "Eli", Bennett, Maximilian "Max" and Therese; his brothers, Benito "Nuno" Solis (Nilda), Miguel "Mikey" Solis, Armando "Mando" Solis and Ricardo "Ricky"; Robert "Bob" Archer, Jr. (Reva), Mark Archer (Cathy), Ellen Emery (Richard), Paul Archer (Cecilia) and John Archer. He is also survived by children and eventually five precious grandchildren.
