We announce the death of Jim C. Baxter (Midwest City, Oklahoma), who passed away on July 11, 2026, at the age of 70. Jim will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Jimmy C. Baxter Sr.; and his brother John P. Baxter. He is survived by: his mother Wanda Cravens Bailey; his wife Laurie Chambers; his children, Samuel Baxter, Jennifer Baxter, Christa Levescy (David Hoffman), Caroline Kuharske (Jonathan Kuharske), Clark Chambers (Shannon Chambers), Peggy Looper (Danny Looper) and John Vawter; and his siblings, Justin Baxter (Terri Baxter), Tom Baxter (Brenda Baxter), Kristi Baker and Clint Covington (Mary Covington). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
