We announce the death of Joe Edward Phillips Jr. (Midwest City, Oklahoma), who passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 62. Joe will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Phillips and Barbara Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Lorna Phillips; his children, Brian (Lashell), Brady and Amy; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Kyndal, Peri, Jesse and Cayleb; and his sister Cheryl Black.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Barnes Friederich & Pope Funeral Home (1820 S Douglas Blvd, Midwest City, OK 73130). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery (2648 Dunn Rd, Elgin, OK 73538).
