He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph L. Helberg and Martha Karstensen Helberg; and his siblings, Norman, Shirley, Richard and Edith.

He is survived by: his wife Verla Helberg; his son Ryan Helberg (Heather) of Harrah; and his grandchildren, Jaden, Kylin and Belle.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Zion Lutheran Church with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
