Lagatha Mae Bookout Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lagatha Mae Bookout (Moore, Oklahoma), born in Walters, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 5, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, W. W. Swallow and Jewel Ethel Swallow (Teakell); her husband Willie Bookout; her sons, Ricc Lightfoot and Russell Lathrop; and her siblings, David Alan Rupe and Ginger Smith.
She is survived by : her daughter Rhonda King (Randy); her siblings, Harry James Rupe (Connie) of Oklahoma City, Steven Rupe of Oklahoma City, Dorothy Helen Jones and Louise Gee; and her grandchildren, Randa Alvarado, Regina Lawley, Brandi Barnett, Nicholas Lathrop, Mindy Kennedy, Bo Lathrop, Emily Lovelace and Levi Lightfoot. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many more loving extended family members and friends.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Oklahoma Palliative & Hospice Care and Crystal Place Assisted Living in OKC, and would also welcome donations to these organizations in Lagatha's honor, if desired.
