We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2025, at the age of 86, Leon Sutterfield (Moore, Oklahoma), born in Stuart, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred "Red" Sutterfield and Cora Sutterfield; and his wife Janis. He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Seymour (Culley) and Carol Fowlkes (Eddie); his grandchildren, Shawn Seymour (Rachael), Scott Seymour (Bristol), Jay Seymour (Madi), Maddi Kade (Chris) and Jana Kelsay (Austin); his great grandchildren, McCartney Seymour, Scottie Seymour, Bobby Grace, Luke Seymour, Macyn Seymour, Cora Seymour, Nash Seymour, Malachi Seymour, Saylor Seymour, Campbell Seymour and Nora Kade; and his sisters, Jimmie VanSchuyver and Dee Lemon. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel (120 S Broadway Ave, Moore, OK 73160). A celebration of life was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Shartel Church of God (11600 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73170). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Pryor Cemetery.
