Matthew Berning Obituary
We bid farewell to Matthew Berning of Moore, Oklahoma, born in Leoti, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 23, 2025 at the age of 57. Matthew touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his father Ed Berning; his niece Sheila; and his great-nephew Kolton. He is survived by: his mother Kathy Berning; his son Bryce; his granddaughter Marlee; his children, Chase Berning and Haley; his granddaughter Sutton; and his siblings, Vicki (Cayle Hahn), Dan (Mary Berning), Sam (Tina Berning), Nanette (Alan Maxwell), Mick (Stacia Berning), Ted (Shelley Berning) and Jerry (Jennifer Berning). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James the Greater Catholic Church (4201 S McKinley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73109). The inurnment was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at the Additional Memorial.
