He was predeceased by: his parent Day Out. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Kempel; his siblings, Charles Kempel and Charlotte Barnes; his children, Kenny Kempel, Tabitha Whitten (Dustin), LaShauna Kempel and Lisa Milligan (Aaron); his grandchildren, Tiffany (Brayden), Taylor (John), Morgan (Lydia), Brenton (SenaKay), Laban, Harper and Grayson; his great grandchildren, Braylon, James, Ledger, Ginny, Kaiya, Kopelyn and Rosie; and his children, Travis Smith, Alesia Davis, Tricia Gilligan, Amber Miears and Mandi Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent in to First Baptist Church, Shattuck Parents Day Out and the Boys Ranch Town through the Oklahoma Baptist Home for Children.
