With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy Elson Brown Jr. (Moore, Oklahoma), born in Hinton, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 74. Though Roy may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy E. Brown, Sr. and Betty Sue Brown; and his brother Roger Dean Terry. He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Sue of Moore; and his son Roy Eric Brown, III (Sarah) of Norman. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel (120 S Broadway Ave, Moore, OK 73160). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Heartland Freewill Baptist Church (17601 S Santa Fe Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73170). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Sill National Cemetery (2648 NE Jake Dunn Rd, Elgin, OK 73538).
