She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Joanna Hixson (Wiltshire) and Dave Luther Hixson; and her son Steve McCleod. She is survived by: her husband Rev. Charles Ballard; her daughter Cathy Brown (Gil) of Tahlequah, OK; her stepsons, Dave McCleod of Perry, OK and Mark McCleod (Teresa) of Muldrow, OK.; her grandchildren, Misty McCleod, Mandy McCleod Hoop, Tiny Man, Tara McCleod, Ashley Brixey, Joshua McCleod, Mary Beth Jennings, Jacob McCleod, Brooke McCleod, Courtney Hart and Casee Matlock; and her siblings, Lynda Bailey of Owasso, OK, Judy Faulkner of Muldrow, OK, Mary Smith of Muldrow, OK, Jerry Hixson of Muldrow, OK. and Kenny Hixson of Muldrow, OK.. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene (1100 S Main St, Muldrow, OK 74948). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
