It is with sadness that the passing of Earnest James Hollifield of Muskogee, Oklahoma is shared. Earnest, born on July 26, 1955, passed away on September 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Earnest will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Earnest by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Earnest is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Earnest’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.

He was predeceased by: his parents, L. C. Hollifield and Helen Hollifield. He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Smith (Brent Smith); his grandchildren, Aubree Smith and Keeton Smith; and his siblings, Barbara Baughman, Judi Stout, Cathey Cantu and Jeremy Hollifield. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cornerstone Funeral Home & Crematory (1830 N York St, Muskogee, OK 74403). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Muskogee Seventh-Day Adventist Church (170 N Country Club Rd, Muskogee, OK 74403).
