He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd "Jack" Bass and Mary Elizabeth Bass (White); his wife Barbara Jean Whitby; his son David Jay Bass; his sisters, Jackie Holwell and June Cotter; and his son-in-law Gary Adamson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Adamson-Fowler (Clint Fowler), Gayle (David Yarbrough) and Stacye (Bill Beane); his grandchildren, Tiffany Adamson-Bowley (Jarrod Bowley), Jason (Maria Adamson), Nathan (Jenny Yarbrough), Jeremy Bass, William "Beau" (Alyssa Beane), Blake (Kathryn Yarbrough) and Kaleigh Beane; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Kasen, Laken Bowley, Ava Adamson, Evie, Eliot, Eleanor, Emmett Yarbrough, Savana, Kamryn Yarbrough and Owen Beane; and his sister Joan Murray-Hogan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
