He was predeceased by: his parents, Euvon "Curly" Summers and Mary Ruth Skeen Summers; and his sister Patricia Summers. He is survived by: his siblings, Gary Summers of Muskogee, Dan Summers of Ardmore and Kay Smiley (Jerry Wayne). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
