He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Ray and Mable Ray (Bontager); and his siblings, Bamie, Allene, Phyllis, Jimmy and Harry Ray.

He is survived by : his siblings, Rose, Jeannie, Eddy and Steve Ray; his son John Ray; and his close friend Kathy Goodnight. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
