Kenneth Dell Cooper Obituary
January 24, 1919 - November 30, 2017 Kenneth Dell Cooper was born January 8, 1943, in Cedar Crest, OK to Leonard Alvin & Iva Myrtle (Breedlove) Cooper. He departed this life on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in Muskogee, OK at the age of 74 years, 10 months, & 21 days. Growing up, Kenny attended schools in Locust Grove. Kenny was drafted during the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Army.
In 1967, in Miami, OK, Kenny & Patty Ann Sanders were united in marriage. Patty preceded Kenny in death on June 16, 2015. They had been married for over 48 years. Kenny was a lifetime resident of Cedar Crest. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator, owning & operating his own business for many years. He enjoyed the country life, raising cattle, farming, & riding horses.
Kenny was a longtime member of the Locust Grove Round-Up Club. He loved to hunt white tail deer & quail with his brother. He always said that deer season did not end on Spring Creek until February 14th. Regarding life, Kenny"s philosophy was "it"s hard, but it"s fair." Kenny was always willing to help others in need. He will be missed by all that knew & loved him.
Kenny is survived by: 1 son: Terry Cooper and wife Brooke of Locust Grove, OK; 1 granddaughter: Jensen Cooper of Locust Grove, OK; 1 grandson: Isaiah Cooper of Locust Grove, OK; 1 sister: Catherine "Babe" Harris of Locust Grove, OK; 1 brother: Dickie Joe Cooper of Cedar Crest; Many nieces and nephews. Kenny was preceded by death: his parents; his wife; 3 sisters: Irene Mounce, Bobby "Runt" Farmer, & Bonnie Harding; & 2 brothers: Gene "Fuzz" Cooper & Sonny Cooper.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the Cooper Family Homeplace south of Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Reverend John Blackwell will officiate. Services have been entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
