She was predeceased by: her parents, Viola Carter (Hollifield) and Sam Carter; her siblings, Harold Carter, Melvin Carter, James Carter, Thelma Page and Darlene Potter; and her sister-in-law Sue Hunter.

She is survived by: her siblings, Sam Carter Jr. (Kathy), Rosa Offutt and Dan Carter. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Cornerstone Funeral Home & Crematory (1830 N York St, Muskogee, OK 74403). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel (1830 N York St, Muskogee, OK 74403).
