It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Harjo in Muskogee, Oklahoma, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on July 9, 2021, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Mary (Ellison) and Jack Clarence Greer; her brothers, Richard Hastings, Tommy Hastings, Bruce Hastings and Jerry Greer; her grandchildren, James Murphy, Tehya Bennett, Dylan Terrell and Jeremy Parker; and her brother-in-law Darrell Belt.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Harjo; her sisters, Jackie (Mark Wyatt) of Wagoner and Shirley Belt of Bakersfield, Missouri; her stepdaughter Nancy (Larry Serna) of Albuquerque; her daughters, Sandra Parker of Muskogee, Elouise Lesueur of Muskogee, Valerie (Tyrone Faulks) of Muskogee and Juanita (Darrell Sterling) of St. Louis, Missouri; and her stepsons, Ryan Harjo of Albuquerque, Jack (Yolanda Bennett) of Henryetta and Josh Harjo of Oktaha. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
