He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley Melton and Stella Mae Melton (Hughes); and his brothers, Jay Melton and LeRoy Hammer. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Eileen Crossland; his children, Bobby Melton (Anna) of Muskogee, Riley Melton (Mary) of Muskogee, David Melton of Muskogee and Nancy Schuette (Thomas) of Muskogee; and his cousin Mary Burrell of Phoenix. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
