He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Chaffin and Wanda Robinson Chaffin (Robinson); and his siblings, Danny Chaffin and Beverly Chaffin Hutchings. He is survived by: his daughter Christine Chaffin Harmon; his stepdaughters, Savannah Anderson (Clint Anderson) and Rachel Purget (Cole Purget); his grandchildren, Drake Harmon, Drew Harmon, Allisa Harmon, Morgan Carter, Jack McKee, Grace McKee, Max Purget, Cross Anderson and Knox Anderson; and his cousin Raymond Sparks "Sparky". He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and many special friends.
