William Sanders Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sanders and Reba Sanders (Smith); his wife Gay Lynne; his brothers, Donnie Marcum and John Sanders, Jr.; his brother-in-law Dean Elsey (Donna); his nieces and nephews, Michael Elsey, Rodney Shaw, Cathy Slaton and Selena Courtney; and his in-laws, Harold and Eula Elsey.
He is survived by: his son Brent (Sandy); his sisters, Johnnie Sue Elrod (Joel), JoAnn Cardwell (Richard Johnson) and Colleen Havens; his sister-in-law Doris Sanders; his grandchildren, John Kyle Sanders and Marissa Sanders; and his nieces and nephews, Brett Elrod (Marisa), Joseph Elrod (Candice), Jason Cantwell (Michelle), Andrea Menie, Tammy Epperson and Hollie Baughman. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, along with countless friends and other family members.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Cornerstone Funeral Home & Crematory (1830 N York St, Muskogee, OK 74403). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel (1830 N York St, Muskogee, OK 74403).
