He was predeceased by: his parents, Ava Louise (Chatham) and Chester Slater; and his brother David Slater. He is survived by: his wife Karen Slater (Wonycott); his sons, Daniel Slater and Stephen Slater (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Madison, Ethan, Logan, Demitrius, Graham and Samuel.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Chisholm Heights Baptist Church (2243 W State Hwy 152, Mustang, OK 73064).
