He was predeceased by: his parents, Quartermane Donica and Mary Donica (Stewart); and his brother Dr. Thomas Marion Donica. He is survived by: his children, Norvel Ray Donica, Gaila Lou Forrest (Bruce Williams), Charles Omar Donica (Gina Donica), Matthew Donica and Sarah Beth Donica; his siblings, Raymond Donica, Dwight Donica (Betty) and Alberta "Chloe" Donica; his grandchildren, Dakota Forrest, Donica Forrest Avant, Clint Avant, Kethry Donica, Makayla Futrell, Dustin Donica, Trina Donica, Mariah Donica and Joshua Donica; and his great grandchildren, Sadi Futrell, Axel Avant, Brylee Avant and Eli Avant.
