He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tynes and Ruth Tynes; and his brother Clifford Tynes. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Tynes; his children, Reggie Tynes, Tangie Tynes, Tassie Burke and Rusty Tynes; and his siblings, Bo Tynes, Virginia Maness and Buddy Tynes.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Choctaw Road Baptist Church (14971 E Reno Ave, Choctaw, OK 73020). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Memory Lane Cemetery (20451 NE 10th St, Harrah, OK 73045).
