He was predeceased by: his parents, John Handy and Virginia Estey Duncan Edwards; and his siblings, John Handy Edwards II and Josephine Thweatt. He is survived by: his wife Thao; his sons, Eric Duncan Edwards (Vanessa) and John Handy Edwards III (Sarah); his grandchildren, Addison, Estey, Colette, Jack and Charlotte; and his sister Dr. Helen Edwards Lutsch.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (3214 N Lake Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73118). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rose Hill Burial Park (6001 NW Grand Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73118).
