He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrie Estelle Johnson-Poynter and Lindsay Poynter; and his brothers, Les and Everett. He is survived by: his sister Angela Poynter-Hans; his wife Dianne Delboy-Poynter; and his children, Lisa Poynter-Robinson and Paul Poynter. He is also survived by six granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren.
