She was predeceased by: her father Dub Bridges; and her brothers, Lonnie, Larry and Eddie. She is survived by: her husband Carl Lyon Surber; her daughter Kara Adele Gilbertson; and her mother Waltsue Mercer (Carl Surber). She is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
