We bid farewell to Carol Marie Clymer in Norman, Oklahoma, born in Storm Lake, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 24, 2025 at the age of 71. Carol touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harriet Ellen Ekstrand Omtvedt (Arthur Theodore "Ted" Omtvedt) and Ted; and her brother Dan. She is survived by: her brother Arlyn Omtvedt (Sue); her children, Wes Clymer (Nicole), Amanda Chapman (Alan) and Kelsey Fisher (Jon); her grandchildren, Dee Rivas (Chuck), Spencer Chapman, Cade Clymer, Kayden Chapman, Cheyenne Chapman, Claire Clymer, Mason Clymer, Gracie Chapman and Sophie Clymer; and her great grandchildren, Jasper Carroll, Kirsten Rivas, Isabella Rivas and Jimmy Rivas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Poteet Funeral Home (600 Illinois St, Pawnee, OK 74058). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pawnee High School (615 Denver St, Pawnee, OK 74058).
In lieu of flowers, Carol requested that donations be made to Pawnee Public Schools.Carol's legacy of kindness, devotion to family, and passion for teaching will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
