He is survived by: his children, Kirk Nicholson, Kent Nicholson (Kayla) and Debra Nicholson (Jeff); his grandchildren, Max Nicholson (Nora), Sam Nicholson (Katie), Nicholson Keller (Nick), Kort Nicholson and Boden Scheurich; his great grandchild Remi Nicholson; his brother Jim Nicholson; his sister-in-law Susie Nicholson; his nephews, Michael Anne Siscoe and Matt Nicholson; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Madylan, Madison, Kendon, Carly and Sarah.
He was most proud of his contribution to founding Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, a non-profit organization providing legal representation to abused and neglected children in Oklahoma County.
