With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gene J. Scott of Norman, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2025 at the age of 98. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Reed Scott and G. Joseph Scott; his significant other S. Colleen Whittle Scott; his daughter-in-law Tera Cline Scott; and his granddaughter Sarah Katherine Crumpley.
He is survived by: his children, David Gene Scott (Jutta) of Orangeburg, Michael Jay Scott of Norman, Ruanne Elizabeth Scott Crumpley (Rob) of Broomfield and Cynthia Colleen Scott Tuttle (Joe) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his sister Mary Beth Scott Dragoo of Norman, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Havenbrook Funeral Home (3401 Havenbrook St, Norman, OK 73072). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery (1913 N Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73069).
