He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Cleta Nichols (Gray) and Earl Nichols; and his brothers, Donald and Jimmy Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Nichols; his children, Todd, Tambra and Holly; his grandchildren, Quinn, Cole Rhodes and Cooper; and his daughters, Olive and Penny Payne.

In lieu of flowers, contributions could be made in memory of Dale to the Dale K. Graham Veterans Foundation, Norman Oklahoma.
