“I was most blessed by having my dear childhood friend, Allen, in my life. Though it was 50 years ago, I spent many nights at his house. His mother made me breakfast and lunches on many occasions. I have nothing but fond memories of our hours of fishing on the river. All of us that grew up on the East side of Blackwell found the Chikaskia River to be our place of joy. Allen's kindness and sincerity just added to that joy. Thank you, Allen, for being a good friend.”
