He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Murphy (Jackson); his wife Floy Mae Murphy; his parent Harve Murphy; and his siblings, Alvin Murphy and Eulene Melton.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy (Danny) of Norman, Linda Murphy of Lexington, Gary Murphy of Norman and Steven (Deanna) of Norman; his sister Loretta Ketner of Norman; and his brother-in-law Dalton Melton of Perry. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
