We announce the death of John Paul Chaffee in Norman, Oklahoma, born in San Bernardino, California, who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 84. John Paul will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Chaffee and Virginia Chaffee; and his daughter Brenda Gomez. He is survived by: his wife Linda Chaffee; his daughters, Pam Davis (Kevin) and Jenny Jones (Brian); his son-in-law Vince Gomez; his brother Ray; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Chaffee and Barbie Hammar (Joe); his grandchildren, Tom Davis (Amy), Annie Davis, Emily Houtchens (Cordell) and Zach Jones; and his great grandchildren, Zane, Aria Davis, Haven and Heidi Houtchens. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Alameda Church of Christ (801 E Alameda St, Norman, OK 73071).
