He is survived by: his wife Dawn Butner Silva; his children, Danny Silva (Suzy) of Lewisville, TX, Sarah Jones (Jason), Mackenzie, Katlyn, Sophia, Angela Silva Holloway (James), Megan Silva Butkovich (Rory), Scott Pearson (Marianne) of Harrah, OK, Abby, Garrett, Jake and Joni Silva Hunt (Bobby) of Glenpool, OK; his grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua and Tina Silva Cooper (Clay) of Branson, MO; his children, Cassidy, Colton, Caden, Shane Butner (Layla Cowper) of Appleton, WI, Casey Butner (Kelly) of Norman, OK, Liam, Rory, Riley, Avery Butner of Norman, OK and Ali Grant (Elijah) of Las Vegas, NV; and his former wife Seletia Oxford.

John supported many worthy charities including Relay for Life, Sip for Sight, The American Cancer Society and organizations supporting American's veterans.
