She was predeceased by: her husband David Steen; and her son Wilson. She is survived by: her child Greenport; her caregiver Corps; her daughter Kathy (Scott McLaughlin); her grandchildren, Katie Friddle (Shane) and Conner McLaughlin (Michelle); and her great grandchildren, Eleanor, Jack Friddle, Scarlett and Georgia McLaughlin.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Joyce Steen Fund scholarship at the Norman Regional Health Foundation to support practicing nurses' continued training in palliative care.
