He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Towe and Virginia Towe; his sons, Bradley and Barry Hellams; his nephew-in-law Derick DeSelms; and his brother-in-law Don Lake.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Towe (Lynn); his son Richard Hellams (Layla); his granddaughters, Nicole and Evangeline Hellams; his siblings, Jeneece Lake and David; his sister-in-law Saundra DeSelms; his parents-in-law, Melvin and Barbara Lynn; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica Sodeman, Jamie Lake and Steve Lake.
