He was predeceased by: his parents, John Philip Bird and Wilma Cavett Records; and his siblings, Carol Shanks and Stuart Bird. He is survived by: his wife Charla Bird; his children, Isabella Bird, Cavett Bird, Heather (Patrick Eisel), Hilary Anne (Chance Clark) and Hayden (Bryan Green); his grandchildren, Aspyn Clark, Ewan, Naya Green and Drake Eisel; his sister Mary Bird of Chico, California; and his nephews, Ben Anderson and Eli Bird.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (1717 W Lindsey St, Norman, OK 73069).
