He was predeceased by: his parents, Della Fern Whitson (Sweeney) and Paul "P. D." Whitson; his uncle Everett; his aunt Ruth Sweeney; and his parents-in-law, Barbara Fowler and Terry Bishop.
He is survived by: his son Randy; his wife Kim Whitson of Norman; his daughter Rebecca Birckett (John); his grandchild Brycen of Moore; his son Kyle Whitson (Miranda); his grandchild Emme of Norman; his uncle Jimmie Sweeney; his siblings, Shelly Whitson and Malcolm Whitson; his close friends, Tom Moore and David Strutton; Sherrl. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many dear friends.
