He is survived by: his wife Harleta Stokes; his sons, Richard Stokes (Kristen Stokes) and Harold Stokes II (Kimberly Stokes); his grandchild Turner Stokes (Emily Stokes); and his great grandchildren, Denham Stokes and Theodore Stokes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for brain cancer research in honor of Ron Stokes.
