He was predeceased by: his brother Richard L. Slate of California; and his parents, Ralph L. Slate and Janice L Slate of Duncan, OK.. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Thomas of Norman, OK; his children, Andrea of Seattle and Jared of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Christoper and Elliot; and his siblings, Dr. Dennis Slate (Denise) of Conroe, TX and Dana Brown (Kenny Brown) of Georgetown, TX..
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Unity Baptist Church (1725 Chisholm Dr, Duncan, OK 73533). A reception will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
