“"Tommy" was our first childhood friend because his parents and ours were next-door neighbors. We enjoyed endless summer days and lots of after school moments together, as his mom, Imogene, and sister, Jan, were our babysitters. What fun we had! Except for that fateful walk one rainy day when Tommy stepped onto some broken glass bottles hidden in the rivers of rain running down the street...yikes! That is a memory I've tried to forget. My sister will tell her story, I am sure, of Monopoly! Later in life, we would visit the Kordics at their new home on Woodland Way, playing in the garage and the huge vacant lot to the north of the house. We were always having fun or creating mischief. Long years passed before we saw Tom again, this time at our Mom's memorial service. We laughed as we recollected these memories and more, and we were happy to hear Tommy had a wonderful family and lots of love in his life. I know you will miss him more than you can imagine even now, but I hope your happy memories will last all your lifetimes. May the LORD bless each of you during this difficult time and in the days and years ahead. Even so, come quickly LORD Jesus!”
