He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lum and Denver L. Carter (Cross); his brother Cecil Lewis Carter; and his sister-in-law Edna. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jean Wagenseller; his children, Lorne Carter (Jennifer) and Kayla Owens (Mark); his grandchildren, Thomas Owens, Natalie Carter, Madeline Owens and Lucy Carter; his caregiver Bill; and his niece Liz Reed. He is also survived by extended family including in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
